What is Therapy?

Therapy is a process in which a individual, couple or family meets with a professional to help them improve their quality of life by processing their experiences and learning new tools to help them adjust with their challenges. Through the process of therapy, one is able to move their consciousness to a higher level of awareness and respond instead of reacting to their environment.

Will Therapy Benefit Me?

The misconception is that therapy is for the select few who are struggling with their mental health but this is not true. Therapy can benefit everyone especially those: who are looking for personal growth, improve their relationships, reduce stress, get over past trauma, reduce symptoms, or help manage their chronic symptoms.

Why do some therapist charge more than others?

Some have more experience than others and specialize in certain areas and have extensive specialized trainings. Not all therapist are the same as they have their different styles, backgrounds, education, experiences and use different approaches.

What is an Associate VS a Licensed Professional?

An associate is usually someone who has gone through their educational training but has not been licensed by the state (therefore they practice under the supervision of a licensed professional). An associate has to collect an amount of “required hours” by working in a mental health setting and once they pass the state licensure test they are allowed to practice independently. In short, they are like an apprentice in training. Although they are in training, there are associates that very skilled as well.
